VISION-RL: Wide-Area Ground-Based Surveillance

Each VISION-Series camera is equipped with two main sensors: a Wide-Area Camera and a high-resolution Spot Beam. The Wide Area Camera captures a large coverage area at resolutions that allow users to detect vehicles out to several miles. The VISION camera can be set up in 70, 120, or 180-degree configurations to meet your specific resolution requirements.

Each VISION camera has an integrated Spot Beam that is user-controllable, and can slew anywhere within the wide-area imagery for better resolution. Depending on your requirements, the Spot Beam can be configured with a wide-range of focal-length lenses. During border security operations in Texas, the Spot Beam camera was outfitted with an 1100mm lens and was able to identify vehicles over five mileas away.

The tower-mounted VISION-RL is shown on right during military testing operations in Yuma, AZ. Of the several sensors evaluated by the U.S. military during these tests, the VISION-RL was one of the most reliable and received the highest ratings in each category.

The images to the left show the resolution capabilities of the VISION-RL during military testing operations.

Unlike typical surveillance cameras, the VISION-RL captures this resolution continuously across 70, 120, or 180 degrees. Users can rewind the imagery to review any event at any time at any location within the field-of-view.
